What is Taekwon-Do?

What can it do for me?

Taekwon-Do is one of the most scientific and efficient self defence systems in the world. It teaches discipline and control, dynamic flying techniques, and powerful hand and foot destruction. It not only gives you the ability to defend yourself in real life threats, it also makes you physically stronger, more flexible and faster. In addition, it enhances your focus and reflexes, enables you to come up with rapid but invaluable decisions, and trains your body to endure some extreme situations.

Why choose Taekwon-Do?

Everything is achievable by everybody: no prior fitness or flexibility level is desired, only the will to train. Most people who join have never done Taekwon-Do before, and are always very welcome. The transition is easy with our wide range of socials, friendly training environment, and the support we give each other in training. The nature of what we do gives very real results – from a new social group, to health benefits, flexibility, fitness, to grading to new belts, performing spectacular techniques, and having the confidence, ability and awareness to keep yourself safe through your University years.

What's different about Taekwon-Do?

Taekwon-Do stands out from the rest of the martial arts with its scientifically developed movements which guarantee that with every punch and kick, you use the minimum effort to exert the maximum power possible to overcome your opponent. Founded in 1955 in Korea, it is a modern day martial art focused on using your body efficiently so that regardless of size or weight, anyone can make it work in self defence. Few martial arts can match Taekwon-Do for power, speed or athleticism.
